International commodity trading and sourcing
Agromer trades fertilizers, agricultural commodities and energy products between producers and commercial buyers. We source from factories, refineries and accredited suppliers, and support each contract from the first enquiry to delivery.
Our role in each commodity
International commodity trading covers very different markets, and our position in each one is different. This is how we work today:
Fertilizers
Distributor for a major NPK fertilizer factory in Europe, with compounds or blends and custom formulas. Connected with major urea refineries for spot deals and contracts. See fertilizers.
Agricultural commodities
Trader for ICUMSA 45 sugar, rice, wheat, yellow corn, barley, soybean and edible oils, with flexible contracts and SGS inspection. See agricultural commodities.
Indonesian coal
Mandate for direct suppliers (accredited export agents). Thermal coal in NAR or GAR specifications on FOB or CIF terms. See Indonesian coal.
Petroleum products
Refinery mandate for EN590 diesel, Jet A1, fuel oil, base oil, LPG, LNG and other refined products, with payment at destination. See petroleum products.

Questions about trading with Agromer
Is Agromer a trader, a broker or an agent?
It depends on the commodity. Agromer distributes for a European NPK fertilizer factory, trades agricultural commodities, and works under mandate with direct suppliers and accredited export agents for Indonesian coal and refined petroleum products. We state our role in each offer.
What documents are needed to start a transaction?
For urea, Indonesian coal and petroleum products, we start from a Letter of Intent issued by the end buyer, with the specification and quantity. We then issue a Full Corporate Offer. Contracts are formalised in a sales and purchase agreement (SPA).
Which payment instruments do you use?
Payment terms are agreed per contract. Agricultural commodity contracts are paid by 100% DLC or SBLC; petroleum transactions use secured procedures with payment at destination.
Can I inspect the goods?
Yes. Preliminary and loading inspections by SGS can be arranged for agricultural cargoes, and suppliers and factories can be visited once the SPA is signed and a draft LC MT760 has been received.
